Writing a scene and plating a dish are the same gesture: choosing what to show.
Born in İzmir in 1990, I now live in Vevey, Switzerland. After studying public relations and advertising at Istanbul University, I started in film in 2009, writing and directing the short Bir Yazar and co-directing Teğet Hayaller. In 2014 I worked as assistant director and on continuity for the feature Mutlak Adalet. In 2016 I wrote the experimental short Kobay, selected at the Marmaris Short Film Festival.
Since 2012 I have designed interactive media for agencies and companies. In Switzerland I am training in typography for visual communication, and in 2023 I showed three works combining typography and photography at Expo Avenches. Today screenwriting is at the centre of my work, with several features in development.
